Description

Tooth Builder Sensitive Toothpaste for sensitive teeth -- with 36% US birch Xylitol -- gets your teeth squeaky clean. It also helps prevent canker sores and soothes and protects dry mouths.

Tooth Builder Toothpaste offers many advantages over conventional toothpastes:

Relief for Sensitive Teeth
Tooth Builder's Mouth-Friendly nanosized calcite crystals migrate into the open tubules in your teeth and seal them off, thus stopping the main cause of tooth sensitivity. You should begin to feel relief within a week.

Conventional toothpastes for tooth sensitivity contain potassium nitrate, which works as a local anesthetic, calming sensitive tooth nerves. This is not as effective as stopping tooth sensitivity by blocking the open dentinal tubules, the way Tooth Builder does.

Plaque, Cavity and Bad Breath Preventive.
The high xylitol content in Tooth Builder discourages the development of plaque and cavities. Its mouth-friendly ingredients also fight bad breath, whereas the harsh ingredients in conventional toothpastes actually contribute to bad breath.

Canker Sore and Cold Sore Prevention and Relief.
Tooth Builder stops most canker sores and mouth ulcers because it's free of SLS (sodium lauryl sulfate) and other irritating ingredients found in most toothpastes, even the so-called 'natural' ones. The patented, non-irritating detergent in Tooth Builder is mild enough for use in artificial tears, which also makes it ideal in preventing cold sores and for soothing dry mouth. If you struggle with canker sores and cold sores, you will also want to look at our Durham's Canker Rid.

Tooth Builder is also:
  • free of fluoride, SLS and salicylate
  • a product of the USA, with American ingredients and packaging
  • world's first hypoallergenic toothpaste
  • Free of added color and flavor
  • gluten free, soy free, and vegan
Tooth Builder® is fluoride free, but if you need a fluoride toothpaste, use Squigle® Enamel Saver® Xylitol Toothpaste with Fluoride. To help you decide which toothpaste best fits your needs, see a Comparison of Squigle®, Squigle Jr, and Tooth Builder® Toothpastes.

Tooth Builder is now dairy free and vegan. The original Tooth Builder® contained a small amount of lactoferrin, a gentle and effective antimicrobial found in cow's milk. In this updated Tooth Builder formula, lactoferrin and calcium propionate have been removed, and potassium sorbate has been added.

Is Squigle® Toothpaste with 36% Xylitol a cardiovascular risk?
©2024 SQUIGLE, Inc.

Recently a paper appeared** which states that ingestion of Xylitol may pose a cardiovascular risk.

Normal use of Squigle's toothpastes does not pose a risk--most people ages 6 and up don't swallow their toothpaste.

In the extreme case where a person brushes his/her teeth with a Squigle® Toothpaste 3 times a day and swallows, they would consume about 1 gram of Xylitol, which is too small to pose a risk, according to the article.

Regarding Squigle JR, which is recommended for infants and toddlers, the dose of Xylitol which they would swallow is too small to pose a risk, according to the article.

Applications of Xylitol which may pose a risk, according to the article,  include habitual heavy use of:
   Xylitol chewing gum
   Xylitol candy
Xylitol used as a sugar substitute

    Pleased with toothpaste

Tooth Builder toothpaste for sensitive teeth is a slightly sweet, pleasant textured tooth cleaner. I have sensitive teeth and it appears that Tooth Builder is working!

Tooth Builder is the best toothpaste

Posted by Gwen on 11th Oct 2014

I've been using Tooth Builder for 2 or 3 years. I previously used Spry toothpaste for a number of years before they changed the formula and ruined it. Tooth Builder is even better than their original formula. Mint flavorings give me canker sores and leave a nasty taste in my mouth. I also had sensitivity problems. These are no longer a problem for me with Tooth Builder. My mouth feels so fresh and clean after brushing with Tooth Builder. And, no new cavities!

    Great Product!!

Posted by Ellen on 30th Sep 2014

I have been using this toothpaste for several weeks now and love it! It is the only product on the market now that I have found to clean my teeth without leaving the skin on the inside of my mouth burned and sore. The lack of added flavor is wonderful because peppermint flavoring burns my mouth. I only need a small amount of the toothpaste, about the size of a large green pea, and that cleans my teeth completely.

Started on wrong foot with TOOTH BUILDER SENSITIVE TOOTHPASTE. Had habit of putting PEELU FIBERS on my brush with my previous toothpaste; so, when my teeth became more sensitive when I started TOOTH BUILDER toothpaste, at first I wondered why. Remembered my habit. Now noticing that my teeth are getting less sensitive. My experience can be an object lesson for everyone to remember to refrain from using abrasive additives with TOOTH BUILDER toothpaste. Will report again in future with results after a significant amount of time has passed.

    Payroll Specialist

This is the only toothpaste that works for me ... I had always used a name-brand toothpaste but lately it began to leave a nasty white stringy slimy residue in my mouth after brushing. I tried two other name-brand toothpastes and had the same results. After researching toothpastes on line, I came across "Tooth Builder Sensitive Toothpaste" and decided it was worth trying. This toothpaste is fantastic ... no more residue in my mouth plus it is very gentle! I love it and have ordered my 4th tube.

Great Toothpaste!! For years I have been using Sensodyne and other "sensitivity" toothpastes. Recently I developed mouth sores that just wouldn't go away. Any toothpaste I used would feel as though it was burning the inside of my mouth. I tried several "natural" toothpastes but none of them helped with the sensitivity issue. I searched on line and came across Squigle Tooth Builder Toothpaste. I am EXTREMELY happy with it. No sensitivity, no mouth sores, and my teeth feel super clean thanks to the xylitol. This is a wonderful product and I would recommend it to anyone.

It's the only toothpaste I can use

Posted by Karen on 22nd Jul 2014

I, too, suffer from Lichen Planus and was at the point where I was basically brushing with plain water. My dentist sold me a tiny little tube of toothpaste he recommended - about 2 oz. for $25.00! Needless to say, I didn't feel like I could afford to use THAT on a daily basis. Then I went online and found Squigle Sensitive. What a godsend. It's such a relief to be able to brush with this wonderful refreshing toothpaste - no pain, and it is good for my gums and teeth. Thank you Homestead Market for carrying this product!
