Description

Squigle® Enamel Saver® Xylitol Toothpaste with FLOURIDE is a gentle, mouth-friendly toothpaste designed to support a clean, healthy smile. With a refreshing flavor and a high concentration of birch-based xylitol (36%), it helps maintain fresh breath and promotes good oral hygiene by reducing plaque and surface stains. Squigle also helps with canker sores and soothes and protects dry mouths.

Many customers appreciate Squigle for its thoughtful ingredient list and effective daily care and it has a very loyal customer base with a high rate of repeat purchases, because it works so well. It's free from harsh detergents and abrasives commonly found in traditional toothpastes, making it a great choice for those with sensitive mouths or looking for a simpler formula.

Key Features:

  • Contains 36% US birch-derived xylitol – more than most other toothpaste brands. Xylitol's unique properties discourage the development of plaque, cavities and even bad breath. That means healthier teeth, gums and mouth.

  • Fluoride-based formula helps support enamel health

  • No sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS) or other harsh detergents which have been thought to contribute to painful canker sores and mouth ulcers.

  • Free from irritating tartar control agents, strong bleaches, and stinging flavors. It also doesn't contain harsh abrasives or bleaches. What's not in your toothpaste is as important as what is. Use Squigle® for long-term canker sore control.

  • Supports a comfortable brushing experience for those with sensitive gums or mouths

  • Made in the USA with vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free, and soy-free ingredients

Is Squigle® Toothpaste with 36% Xylitol a cardiovascular risk?
©2024 SQUIGLE, Inc.

Recently a paper appeared** which states that ingestion of Xylitol may pose a cardiovascular risk.

Normal use of Squigle's toothpastes does not pose a risk--most people ages 6 and up don't swallow their toothpaste.

In the extreme case where a person brushes his/her teeth with a Squigle® Toothpaste 3 times a day and swallows, they would consume about 1 gram of Xylitol, which is too small to pose a risk, according to the article.

Regarding Squigle JR, which is recommended for infants and toddlers, the dose of Xylitol which they would swallow is too small to pose a risk, according to the article.

Applications of Xylitol which may pose a risk, according to the article,  include habitual heavy use of:
   Xylitol chewing gum
   Xylitol candy
Xylitol used as a sugar substitute

    Why not sold in stores

I've used Squigle for a few days now and it appears to be helping the ulcers on my tongue. I would give it a good rating.

    Great toothpaste

Posted by Judy on 10th Nov 2016

I had long suffered with multiple oral canker sores from which I could find no real relief. My dentist said it is possible it was from the sodium laurel sulfate in toothpaste. My search at the local drug store was fruitless, so I took to the internet and found Squigle products which have controlled the sores to such an extent that in the past 3 years (since I started with it) I have had no sores at all. I call that a miracle. Thanks, Homestead Market for carrying these products.

Finally, a toothpaste that isn't disgusting!

Posted by Kelli on 26th Oct 2016

I enjoy the simple, non-overwhelming flavor of this toothpaste while at the same time feeling fresh after having brushed my teeth. Most mint/cinnamon toothpastes leave my mouth hurting, but I never have that problem with squigle. A much better alternative to sickly sweet bubble gum flavors. I wish I could find this in stores!

    Ultimate in Canker Sore Relief

Posted by JLR on 20th Oct 2016

My husband and teen son suffered for years and years from very severe canker sores and we had tried many things that were little or no help. A few years ago, we tried Squigle as a regular everyday toothpaste for them and ever since- they both rarely get canker sores and when they do they are much less severe and the healing time is much faster. Service from Homestead Market is excellent, too- so we always order it here.

    Relief for Cancer Patients

Posted by David Fortschneider on 14th Oct 2016

I initially purchased Squigle Tooth Paste by accident because I was recovering from head and neck cancer and radiation treatments left my mouth an open wound. Squigle was the only toothpaste that did not cause severe discomfort. Indeed, I have kept on using it since 2013 because of its excellent decay preventing properties as well as its dry-mouth preventing agents, Xylitol. I passed the info on to my radiation oncologists and they have been recommending it ever since. I am a Squigle customer for life, thank you for your excellent product!

    Good Product

Posted by Kelly on 12th Oct 2016

I am a general dentist and would highly recommend this toothpaste. Squigle enamel saver is not irritating to soft tissue in my experience. Nice mint flavor, not too strong, no stinging and has fluoride and xylitol for strengthening and decay prevention. So many of the newer toothpastes are excessively abrasive and can increase sensitivity in the teeth and tissues. I am glad to recommend this product to my patients, friends and family.

    Review

Posted by Jane on 15th Sep 2016

I have oral lichen planus and am very limited on what I can use for toothpaste. The last 5 years I've only used warm water and baking soda. My periodontist recommended Squigle to me. I really like it. Minimal mint which can aggravate my mouth but just enough to feel fresh breath. And the fluoride helps preserve my teeth. My husband started using it too and likes it. He had been using Sensodyne but it was still too strong for his teeth. I think the absence of the sodium laurel sulfate really makes a difference when you have inflammation in your mouth!

    Mouth Sores Disappearing

Posted by Carol Stuart on 4th Sep 2016

Developed lichen planus (autoimmune disease) and could no longer tolerate the harsh chemical in regular toothpaste and mouthwash. Was using Biotene, as recommended by dentist, but had limited results. Dentist suggested Crest toothpaste (old formula) to remove stains (that Biotene did not eliminate) and developed terrible sores in mouth after a few days of use. I tossed all the toothpaste products in my house that contains harsh chemicals (including Tom's toothpaste). Since using Squigle toothpaste, the sores in my mouth are healing and no new sores have developed. I learned about this product by doing my own research on possible products that would prevent mouth sores. I will let my dentist know about this product at my next appointment. I still have to watch my diet and rinse my mouth after snacks and meals, but have noticed considerable improvement in the few days I have used this product. I also use an extra soft toothbrush that was given to me by my dentist. Most toothbrushes are too harsh for my gums and surrounding tissues.

    Happy mouth!

Posted by Karen on 20th Aug 2016

Growing up I would get so many canker sores but there was no product that helped ease the pain or reduce chances of having more. Recently my 8 yr old son began experiencing the horrible pain of canker sores and I wasn't going to tell him to "ride it out" like I had to do as a child. Google saved the day. He began using the product as soon as it came and he loves it. He doesnt have a sore now and I'm trusting the product to ward off any future sores. The mint flavor is tolerable for "little" mouths as well. In fact, he likes to share his minty breath each time he uses it. "Does my breath smell good?" and he'll give me a blow of air. Makes me giggle. He loves squigle! I'm absolutely certain we will be customers for life!
