Is Squigle® Toothpaste with 36% Xylitol a cardiovascular risk?
©2024 SQUIGLE, Inc. Recently a paper appeared** which states that ingestion of Xylitol may pose a cardiovascular risk. Normal use of Squigle's toothpastes does not pose a risk--most people ages 6 and up don't swallow their toothpaste.
In the extreme case where a person brushes his/her teeth with a Squigle® Toothpaste 3 times a day and swallows, they would consume about 1 gram of Xylitol, which is too small to pose a risk, according to the article.
Regarding Squigle JR, which is recommended for infants and toddlers, the dose of Xylitol which they would swallow is too small to pose a risk, according to the article. Applications of Xylitol which may pose a risk, according to the article, include habitual heavy use of: Xylitol chewing gum Xylitol candy Xylitol used as a sugar substitute **M. Squigle Toothpaste

It works!
Have been prone to mouth sores. Previously used Rembrandt for Canker Sores toothpaste until they stopped making it. This really works. No sores since I started using it a month ago. Will see if results are long lasting.

Meets all needs
This is the only toothpaste I have found that has no SLS, has flouride, has no artificial sweeteners, and is palatable. I am finally free of canker sores caused by the SLS toothpastes, and I continue to receive good reports from my hygienist after several years of using this toothpaste.

Allergy safe!
This toothpaste came highly rated for those with gluten and corn sensitivity. It is worth the special order because it's better than anything I've tried at my local health store. Even my boyfriend uses my Squigle toothpaste over his store bought brand!
