Is Squigle® Toothpaste with 36% Xylitol a cardiovascular risk?
©2024 SQUIGLE, Inc. Recently a paper appeared** which states that ingestion of Xylitol may pose a cardiovascular risk. Normal use of Squigle's toothpastes does not pose a risk--most people ages 6 and up don't swallow their toothpaste.
In the extreme case where a person brushes his/her teeth with a Squigle® Toothpaste 3 times a day and swallows, they would consume about 1 gram of Xylitol, which is too small to pose a risk, according to the article.
Regarding Squigle JR, which is recommended for infants and toddlers, the dose of Xylitol which they would swallow is too small to pose a risk, according to the article. Applications of Xylitol which may pose a risk, according to the article, include habitual heavy use of: Xylitol chewing gum Xylitol candy Xylitol used as a sugar substitute **M. Great toothpaste
I've been using this for my sensitive teeth for 15 -20 years, and I'm so glad that Homestead does online shopping. It isn't sold anywhere in NV at this time. I discovered it in PA at Kimberton Whole Foods, and I've loved it since my first taste. Not only is the flavor good (neither too sweet nor too pungent), but the stuff really works. As long as I use it daily, the only sensitivity I have is if I overdo it with sugar. This is hands down the best sensitivity toothpaste I've ever used.Homestead has great prices, fast shipping (even in these Corona Virus days), and so far they've been wonderful as vendors. If I'm ever in Wisconsin, I'll stop by and thank them in person.

Great Stuff
I've tried different toothpastes and didn't know what was causing the inside of my mouth to "peel." After doing some research, I learned that it was due to SLS. I found Squiqle online and since I've been using I haven't had any mouth peel in quite some time. I'm now a user for life. Thanks!!

This toothpaste is the best there is! I used to get dry mouth - uncomfortable and painful. NO MORE! I have used Squigle toothpaste for four years. It was recommended by my dentist when I had mouth sores. He heard about it from one of his patients. My mouth sores were healed and have not returned. I like the mild taste. I highly recommend it as a daily toothpaste and will never go back to buying toothpaste over the counter.
