Description

Tooth Builder Sensitive Toothpaste for sensitive teeth -- with 36% US birch Xylitol -- gets your teeth squeaky clean. It also helps prevent canker sores and soothes and protects dry mouths.

Tooth Builder Toothpaste offers many advantages over conventional toothpastes:

Relief for Sensitive Teeth
Tooth Builder's Mouth-Friendly nanosized calcite crystals migrate into the open tubules in your teeth and seal them off, thus stopping the main cause of tooth sensitivity. You should begin to feel relief within a week.

Conventional toothpastes for tooth sensitivity contain potassium nitrate, which works as a local anesthetic, calming sensitive tooth nerves. This is not as effective as stopping tooth sensitivity by blocking the open dentinal tubules, the way Tooth Builder does.

Plaque, Cavity and Bad Breath Preventive.
The high xylitol content in Tooth Builder discourages the development of plaque and cavities. Its mouth-friendly ingredients also fight bad breath, whereas the harsh ingredients in conventional toothpastes actually contribute to bad breath.

Canker Sore and Cold Sore Prevention and Relief.
Tooth Builder stops most canker sores and mouth ulcers because it's free of SLS (sodium lauryl sulfate) and other irritating ingredients found in most toothpastes, even the so-called 'natural' ones. The patented, non-irritating detergent in Tooth Builder is mild enough for use in artificial tears, which also makes it ideal in preventing cold sores and for soothing dry mouth. If you struggle with canker sores and cold sores, you will also want to look at our Durham's Canker Rid.

Tooth Builder is also:
  • free of fluoride, SLS and salicylate
  • a product of the USA, with American ingredients and packaging
  • world's first hypoallergenic toothpaste
  • Free of added color and flavor
  • gluten free, soy free, and vegan
Tooth Builder® is fluoride free, but if you need a fluoride toothpaste, use Squigle® Enamel Saver® Xylitol Toothpaste with Fluoride. To help you decide which toothpaste best fits your needs, see a Comparison of Squigle®, Squigle Jr, and Tooth Builder® Toothpastes.

Tooth Builder is now dairy free and vegan. The original Tooth Builder® contained a small amount of lactoferrin, a gentle and effective antimicrobial found in cow's milk. In this updated Tooth Builder formula, lactoferrin and calcium propionate have been removed, and potassium sorbate has been added.

Is Squigle® Toothpaste with 36% Xylitol a cardiovascular risk?
©2024 SQUIGLE, Inc.

Recently a paper appeared** which states that ingestion of Xylitol may pose a cardiovascular risk.

Normal use of Squigle's toothpastes does not pose a risk--most people ages 6 and up don't swallow their toothpaste.

In the extreme case where a person brushes his/her teeth with a Squigle® Toothpaste 3 times a day and swallows, they would consume about 1 gram of Xylitol, which is too small to pose a risk, according to the article.

Regarding Squigle JR, which is recommended for infants and toddlers, the dose of Xylitol which they would swallow is too small to pose a risk, according to the article.

Applications of Xylitol which may pose a risk, according to the article,  include habitual heavy use of:
   Xylitol chewing gum
   Xylitol candy
Xylitol used as a sugar substitute

    Clean, fresh feeling

Posted by Corinne on 18th Aug 2017

This toothpaste with xylitol is not only great for your oral health, but it leaves your mouth feeling clean and fresh without the heavy texture of other toothpastes. If you have sensitive teeth and gums, this non-fluoride formula helps the sensitivity.

    Works for Teeth Sensitivity

Posted by R. Shelps on 10th Aug 2017

I had 2 teeth that were extra sensitive to the point of throbbing. My Dentist said those areas were due to gum line exposure, not decay. I tried sensodyne, toms/sensitive toothpaste and either really worked. I found Tooth Builder, ordered and tried it...What a difference...this stuff works! Within a couple days it was total relief and has continued since my purchase over 1 month ago. Great Product...Unique Formula...Tastes Good too.

    Great toothpaste

Posted by Suzanne on 1st Jul 2017

I've been using tooth builder for my sensitive teeth. Some are more sensitive than others, and this really works. I also tend to get dry mouth, and whenever I get a sore on my gum this also zaps it away..I recommend it highly!! A bit more than you would pay for a toothpaste but worth it!!

I've been using this toothpaste for a few years, I love it. My teeth feel squeaky [clean]. Plus, I've hadn't had a cavity since I've been using it. My kids enjoy using, too

    Stopped Bleeding Gums

Posted by Randall on 18th Jun 2017

Bought this a few weeks ago. Seems to help stop bleeding gums. Almost no "pink in the sink" since I began brushing with this paste morning and night.

    Best toothpaste ever

Posted by Lisa T on 11th May 2017

I've been using the Toothbuilder for sensitive teeth for more than 10 years now. Someone in a health food store recommended it, and it's the only toothpaste that desensitizes my teeth. I've tried many. I love the taste, too; it's just sweet and flavorful enough not to be unpleasant, but it doesn't leave me feeling like I need to brush my teeth again, and unlike what I'd been using, it's not overpowering. My only complaint is that it's not readily available in stores, especially out here in Las Vegas. So I just ordered a dozen tubes. It'll take a while to use it up, but that's fine, and it cost the same shipping for one as for 12. I've recommended it to every dentist I've ever used, as well as to anyone who complains about sensitive teeth. I highly recommend this toothpaste.

    Great Taste!!

Posted by Shar on 1st May 2017

This product has been an answer to prayer. My son has Autism and is extremely sensitive to taste and texture. It's the ONLY toothpaste he will use - please don't ever change the flavor!

    FANTASTIC!

Posted by Rock on 19th Apr 2017

I have extreme sensitivity to conventional toothpaste. Was using Jason products until I discovered the Squigle. Bought both the "Tooth Builder" and the "Enamel Builder". Have used for less than a week and can already tell it is making a huge difference. I can brush longer without irritation! Don't hesitate to try this toothpaste!

    I keep coming back...

Posted by Mark on 18th Apr 2017

I periodically have tried other 'sensitive' or 'natural' toothpastes but always end up coming back to this one. Although it is expensive, not having a mouth full of sores is worth the extra. I don't think you can beat this toothpaste or Homestead Market.
