Description

Tooth Builder Sensitive Toothpaste for sensitive teeth -- with 36% US birch Xylitol -- gets your teeth squeaky clean. It also helps prevent canker sores and soothes and protects dry mouths.

Tooth Builder Toothpaste offers many advantages over conventional toothpastes:

Relief for Sensitive Teeth
Tooth Builder's Mouth-Friendly nanosized calcite crystals migrate into the open tubules in your teeth and seal them off, thus stopping the main cause of tooth sensitivity. You should begin to feel relief within a week.

Conventional toothpastes for tooth sensitivity contain potassium nitrate, which works as a local anesthetic, calming sensitive tooth nerves. This is not as effective as stopping tooth sensitivity by blocking the open dentinal tubules, the way Tooth Builder does.

Plaque, Cavity and Bad Breath Preventive.
The high xylitol content in Tooth Builder discourages the development of plaque and cavities. Its mouth-friendly ingredients also fight bad breath, whereas the harsh ingredients in conventional toothpastes actually contribute to bad breath.

Canker Sore and Cold Sore Prevention and Relief.
Tooth Builder stops most canker sores and mouth ulcers because it's free of SLS (sodium lauryl sulfate) and other irritating ingredients found in most toothpastes, even the so-called 'natural' ones. The patented, non-irritating detergent in Tooth Builder is mild enough for use in artificial tears, which also makes it ideal in preventing cold sores and for soothing dry mouth. If you struggle with canker sores and cold sores, you will also want to look at our Durham's Canker Rid.

Tooth Builder is also:
  • free of fluoride, SLS and salicylate
  • a product of the USA, with American ingredients and packaging
  • world's first hypoallergenic toothpaste
  • Free of added color and flavor
  • gluten free, soy free, and vegan
Tooth Builder® is fluoride free, but if you need a fluoride toothpaste, use Squigle® Enamel Saver® Xylitol Toothpaste with Fluoride. To help you decide which toothpaste best fits your needs, see a Comparison of Squigle®, Squigle Jr, and Tooth Builder® Toothpastes.

Tooth Builder is now dairy free and vegan. The original Tooth Builder® contained a small amount of lactoferrin, a gentle and effective antimicrobial found in cow's milk. In this updated Tooth Builder formula, lactoferrin and calcium propionate have been removed, and potassium sorbate has been added.

Is Squigle® Toothpaste with 36% Xylitol a cardiovascular risk?
©2024 SQUIGLE, Inc.

Recently a paper appeared** which states that ingestion of Xylitol may pose a cardiovascular risk.

Normal use of Squigle's toothpastes does not pose a risk--most people ages 6 and up don't swallow their toothpaste.

In the extreme case where a person brushes his/her teeth with a Squigle® Toothpaste 3 times a day and swallows, they would consume about 1 gram of Xylitol, which is too small to pose a risk, according to the article.

Regarding Squigle JR, which is recommended for infants and toddlers, the dose of Xylitol which they would swallow is too small to pose a risk, according to the article.

Applications of Xylitol which may pose a risk, according to the article,  include habitual heavy use of:
   Xylitol chewing gum
   Xylitol candy
Xylitol used as a sugar substitute

    BRAVO!

Posted by Leah on 15th Feb 2014

As I have gotten older, my dental problems have become a horror story. At ONE CHECK-UP, I was found to have six small cavities. I was in shock. I thought cavities were for kids. Well, I made a vow to get at the root cause of my dental woes by going on the internet and giving myself an education on the subject. I learned a great deal. One thing I found out about is the link between dry mouth and tooth decay. I had no idea. Virtually every medication I take causes dry mouth. Well, armed with this new knowledge, I launched a full-scale campaign against this condition. One of the first things I did was to shop for special products that would help me. Very quickly, I found "Squigle" tooth paste and made it an integral part of my dental regimen. Twice daily, I use a prescription mega-fluoride tooth cream. Then I brush my teeth very gently with your "Tooth Builder" toothpaste one more time during the day and again before I go to bed. After I am done brushing, I smear that fluoride-free Squigle all over my teeth, my tongue, the insides of my cheeks -- everywhere. Then I slap on my night guard and rub the Squigle in until I get to where I have a thin, uniform coating. It tastes good. It lasts all night. And along with a few pieces of Xylitol hard candies after each meal or snack, it seems to be working. At my last dental check-up, no more new cavities were found. I would highly recommend this product to anyone, even people who do not have dry mouth. I consider the Xylitol to be just as vital to dental and oral health as I do fluoride. Oh -- And as an added bonus, it really does help with tooth sensitivity!

    Not for me

Posted by Sue on 4th Feb 2014

I had no problem with a small amount of Xylitol but this toothpaste put me over the brink. I guess I am allergic. It made my mouth so dry and I got upset stomach. A good toothpaste. Just not for me.

Best toothpaste for those avoiding fluoride

Posted by Sarah on 17th Jan 2014

ToothBuilder is an excellent toothpaste for those who wish to avoid fluoride. The ingredients are impeccable and the minerals in them can help "fill in" the beginnings of cavities before they have a chance to form. Great stuff!

    A great combination!

It''s difficult to find sensitivity toothpaste without sodium laurel sulfate, so I really appreciate Tooth Builder.

    Tooth Builder

Posted by Michelle on 11th Jan 2014

An excellent product when you are sensitive to chemicals like I am. I am unable to use any toothpaste that has fluoride, especially peroxide found in some pastes. This product works just as good or even better than your regular toothpastes. I recommend this.

    satisfied

Posted by Sandra on 29th Nov 2013

Love the texture, the fact that it has NO flavor and NO after taste. So far so good. I searched for a while for a toothpaste for sensitive teeth that was mint free. I have a very sensitive mouth due to medication and mint burns so badly. I used kids paste but that isn''t for sensitive teeth so I suffered with sweets, hot, cold even cold air. Over all I really like this product.

    It''s working !!!!!

Posted by Barbara on 26th Nov 2013

I was recently diagnosed with Perioral Dermatitis around my lower lip area. My dermatologist said it was probably a result of using some steroid cream on my face. I have NEVER done that! I noticed irritation after using my regular toothpaste. So upon reading your website and reading testimonies, I decided to try your tooth builder toothpaste. My doctor has me using an antibiotic lotion twice a day. After one week, my rash was getting WORSE, until your toothpaste arrived. Now the rash is really showing signs of major improvement. I will continue to use your tooth builder toothpaste, as it really seems to be working. I just wish it had a little flavor to it.

I bought this product because of reoccurring Aphthous stomatitis (Canker Sores). I really like this product, good taste, mild, and does not irritate canker sores like regular toothpaste. My wife has started using it now because of less irritation and a milder taste compared to regular toothpaste. I will still brush my teeth with all natural baking soda a few times a week to lower the Ph of my mouth. I just ordered 3 more tubes and highly recommend Tooth Builder!
