Description

Squigle® Enamel Saver® Xylitol Toothpaste with FLOURIDE is a gentle, mouth-friendly toothpaste designed to support a clean, healthy smile. With a refreshing flavor and a high concentration of birch-based xylitol (36%), it helps maintain fresh breath and promotes good oral hygiene by reducing plaque and surface stains. Squigle also helps with canker sores and soothes and protects dry mouths.

Many customers appreciate Squigle for its thoughtful ingredient list and effective daily care and it has a very loyal customer base with a high rate of repeat purchases, because it works so well. It's free from harsh detergents and abrasives commonly found in traditional toothpastes, making it a great choice for those with sensitive mouths or looking for a simpler formula.

Key Features:

  • Contains 36% US birch-derived xylitol – more than most other toothpaste brands. Xylitol's unique properties discourage the development of plaque, cavities and even bad breath. That means healthier teeth, gums and mouth.

  • Fluoride-based formula helps support enamel health

  • No sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS) or other harsh detergents which have been thought to contribute to painful canker sores and mouth ulcers.

  • Free from irritating tartar control agents, strong bleaches, and stinging flavors. It also doesn't contain harsh abrasives or bleaches. What's not in your toothpaste is as important as what is. Use Squigle® for long-term canker sore control.

  • Supports a comfortable brushing experience for those with sensitive gums or mouths

  • Made in the USA with vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free, and soy-free ingredients

Is Squigle® Toothpaste with 36% Xylitol a cardiovascular risk?
©2024 SQUIGLE, Inc.

Recently a paper appeared** which states that ingestion of Xylitol may pose a cardiovascular risk.

Normal use of Squigle's toothpastes does not pose a risk--most people ages 6 and up don't swallow their toothpaste.

In the extreme case where a person brushes his/her teeth with a Squigle® Toothpaste 3 times a day and swallows, they would consume about 1 gram of Xylitol, which is too small to pose a risk, according to the article.

Regarding Squigle JR, which is recommended for infants and toddlers, the dose of Xylitol which they would swallow is too small to pose a risk, according to the article.

Applications of Xylitol which may pose a risk, according to the article,  include habitual heavy use of:
   Xylitol chewing gum
   Xylitol candy
Xylitol used as a sugar substitute

Important part of canker sore management

Posted by Laura on 10th Feb 2016

I'm a long time sufferer of chronic canker sores. Squigle is part of my plan to keep them at bay and it works great. If you are still using big name toothpastes with SLS you are missing one of the biggest known irritants of mouth tissue. Switch to this product and you will do much to reduce your mouth ulcer outbreaks!

    Awesome toothpaste!

Posted by Elaine on 11th Jan 2016

I could not be happier with this product. I've used it continuously since early 2013 and I have not had even one canker sore since then! It takes very little for each brushing and lasts much longer than you'd ever expect it too. It tastes great, gives you great breath and my dentist even commented how great my teeth have been doing! Ordering process is easy and arrives quickly... you won't be disappointed!

    excellent for medical issues

Posted by jerry on 28th Dec 2015

Presently going through Chemo treatments which is causing my mouth to be very sensitive to all on the shelf toothpastes. My wife found this listed under a search for my problem. It works well without the burning I got from the other pastes. Excellent product but priced somewhat high, but it does what it advertises. Will continue to use as long as I undergo treatments.

    Great solution to canker problems!!

Posted by Joe on 5th Dec 2015

I have been using Squiggle for a few years now and I have to say that my canker problem has just about vanished. I do still get an occasional canker, but nothing near the constant pain of them. Thanks Homestead Market and Squiggle!!!

Still using it after a couple of years

Posted by Rhonda on 3rd Dec 2015

I started using Squigle toothpaste a couple of years ago when I suddenly got horribly painful tongue ulcers (I had never had any before, then got them many months in a row). I tried a bunch of things all at once, and gradually eliminated everything except the Squigle. I never got another tongue ulcer. I can't prove that Squigle is the reason why the ulcers stopped, but I never want another ulcer, and Squigle seems to be the way to make that happen. Works for me!

    No more canker sores!

Posted by John McWade on 3rd Nov 2015

No more canker sores! I spent my life plagued by canker sores — often two or three at a time. My mouth was almost never free of at least one canker sore. I then learned about the abrasive effect of sodium lauryl sulfate and found Squigle. Floss, brush with Squigle (tasty!), and twice a day wash with Listerine. Canker sores are history. Maybe one or two per year that hang around for two days, not two weeks. What a relief. Even my dentist sells Squigle. Wonderful stuff!

    Best Toothpaste!

Posted by Robin on 13th Oct 2015

I have been using Squigle ever since Rembrandt decided to stop making their canker sore formula toothpaste. I am very allergic to sodium lauryl sulfate (the ingredient in regular toothpaste that makes it foamy) and while I have tried some other brands, Squigle is the best.
