Is Squigle® Toothpaste with 36% Xylitol a cardiovascular risk?
©2024 SQUIGLE, Inc. Recently a paper appeared** which states that ingestion of Xylitol may pose a cardiovascular risk. Normal use of Squigle's toothpastes does not pose a risk--most people ages 6 and up don't swallow their toothpaste.
In the extreme case where a person brushes his/her teeth with a Squigle® Toothpaste 3 times a day and swallows, they would consume about 1 gram of Xylitol, which is too small to pose a risk, according to the article.
Regarding Squigle JR, which is recommended for infants and toddlers, the dose of Xylitol which they would swallow is too small to pose a risk, according to the article. Applications of Xylitol which may pose a risk, according to the article, include habitual heavy use of: Xylitol chewing gum Xylitol candy Xylitol used as a sugar substitute **M. No more Chemicals

Squigle Toothpaste
Due to extreme chronic dry mouth and mouth ulcers I gradually had to stop using ALL toothpastes and was brushing with baking soda. It did not make my mouth feel clean and I was worried about possible tooth decay. I discovered this site and Squigle Toothpaste and it is wonderful!! My mouth feels clean and MOIST! I brush 4-6 times a day just to get that moist feeling. I also use the OraCoat XyliMelts.

Best Toothpaste for Canker Sores
I've had problems with canker sores my entire life. In a desperate search for something to help decrease the number of canker sores I consistently experience, I found Squiggle. Such a blessing! I've been using Squiggle for over a year. This toothpaste is the only thing that has ever helped reduce the number of canker sores for me. I almost never get a sore in my mouth. If I accidentally bite my cheek, the cut never turns into a canker sore like it would in the past. I cannot recommend this product enough especially for someone who struggles with mouth sores. One last tip for those who experience canker sore, avoid harsh mouthwashes too.

I discovered this toothpaste 10 years ago when it was still being distributed by its "inventor". I suffered for years with canker sores. I am a dental hygienist and this is the best product I have found for people with canker sores. I have only had 1 in the past 10 years and it was while I was on vacation and didn't have my Squiggle. The whole family uses it. 4 people no cavities in 10 years. The xylitol kills the bacteria that causes decay. This is an excellent product. I recommend it to patients all the time.

NOT FOR ME
I have Sjogren's Syndrome and the inside of my mouth is extremely sensitive. This product burned my mouth and I cannot use it. I believe it is the strong peppermint flavoring that is the culprit - I find that spearmint flavoring is much better for me and does not burn my mouth. Wish this came in spearmint flavor.
