Description

Tooth Builder Sensitive Toothpaste for sensitive teeth -- with 36% US birch Xylitol -- gets your teeth squeaky clean. It also helps prevent canker sores and soothes and protects dry mouths.

Tooth Builder Toothpaste offers many advantages over conventional toothpastes:

Relief for Sensitive Teeth
Tooth Builder's Mouth-Friendly nanosized calcite crystals migrate into the open tubules in your teeth and seal them off, thus stopping the main cause of tooth sensitivity. You should begin to feel relief within a week.

Conventional toothpastes for tooth sensitivity contain potassium nitrate, which works as a local anesthetic, calming sensitive tooth nerves. This is not as effective as stopping tooth sensitivity by blocking the open dentinal tubules, the way Tooth Builder does.

Plaque, Cavity and Bad Breath Preventive.
The high xylitol content in Tooth Builder discourages the development of plaque and cavities. Its mouth-friendly ingredients also fight bad breath, whereas the harsh ingredients in conventional toothpastes actually contribute to bad breath.

Canker Sore and Cold Sore Prevention and Relief.
Tooth Builder stops most canker sores and mouth ulcers because it's free of SLS (sodium lauryl sulfate) and other irritating ingredients found in most toothpastes, even the so-called 'natural' ones. The patented, non-irritating detergent in Tooth Builder is mild enough for use in artificial tears, which also makes it ideal in preventing cold sores and for soothing dry mouth. If you struggle with canker sores and cold sores, you will also want to look at our Durham's Canker Rid.

Tooth Builder is also:
  • free of fluoride, SLS and salicylate
  • a product of the USA, with American ingredients and packaging
  • world's first hypoallergenic toothpaste
  • Free of added color and flavor
  • gluten free, soy free, and vegan
Tooth Builder® is fluoride free, but if you need a fluoride toothpaste, use Squigle® Enamel Saver® Xylitol Toothpaste with Fluoride. To help you decide which toothpaste best fits your needs, see a Comparison of Squigle®, Squigle Jr, and Tooth Builder® Toothpastes.

Tooth Builder is now dairy free and vegan. The original Tooth Builder® contained a small amount of lactoferrin, a gentle and effective antimicrobial found in cow's milk. In this updated Tooth Builder formula, lactoferrin and calcium propionate have been removed, and potassium sorbate has been added.

Is Squigle® Toothpaste with 36% Xylitol a cardiovascular risk?
©2024 SQUIGLE, Inc.

Recently a paper appeared** which states that ingestion of Xylitol may pose a cardiovascular risk.

Normal use of Squigle's toothpastes does not pose a risk--most people ages 6 and up don't swallow their toothpaste.

In the extreme case where a person brushes his/her teeth with a Squigle® Toothpaste 3 times a day and swallows, they would consume about 1 gram of Xylitol, which is too small to pose a risk, according to the article.

Regarding Squigle JR, which is recommended for infants and toddlers, the dose of Xylitol which they would swallow is too small to pose a risk, according to the article.

Applications of Xylitol which may pose a risk, according to the article,  include habitual heavy use of:
   Xylitol chewing gum
   Xylitol candy
Xylitol used as a sugar substitute

    Great Product!

Posted by Bruce Brewer on 7th Mar 2016

This is the only product on the market that kills the pain from sensitive teeth. I've tried all the big name brands and they don't work. The only short coming is the tube itself. The labeling on the tube comes off onto your fingers as the tube is being squeezed empty.

    Love this toothpaste

Posted by Barb on 27th Feb 2016

I have oral Lichens Planus and tend to get ulcers in my mouth. This toothpaste doesn't irritate them like regular toothpaste. I have been using it for a couple of years and love it. Just ordered some more!

    Great Toothpaste

Posted by Karen M. Spencer on 24th Feb 2016

This toothpaste is wonderful. It tastes great, dissolves easily and really cleans my teeth. Now I can eat and drink hot and cold foods and beverages with no problem. I will never go back to ordinary toothpaste from the supermarket.

I can use the left side of my mouth again!

Posted by Felix on 16th Dec 2015

I was waiting to do a review since I have been using it only a couple of days but just the fact that I can use the left side of my mouth again is incredible and I'm so thankful. I had really deep cavities on my left and right side. After the dentist, my left side was completely unbearable in terms of sensitivity. Even room temperature things would trigger extreme pain. The only difference between when the cavity was filled and recently was that there is no pain unless I eat or drink something but as soon as I do, it feels like the day after I got the cavity done. After I went back for the right side to get done, they just told me I needed a root canal on my left. I found that odd because my mother has had root canals done and her teeth hurt 24/7. I was only having extreme sensitivity. Not to mention a root canal is $400 even with insurance. I just slowly gave up on my left side and only used my right. I'm in my 20s but I thought this was one of those things that was now permanently broken because I'm getting older. My right also has sensitivity but it's bearable. I thought I would live with the pain until I could afford the $400 root canal. I knew I needed to switch my toothpaste and I'm not a fan of fluoride in regular toothpaste. Most of the sensitive toothpaste I found at stores had fluoride. So I did a search for no fluoride sensitive toothpaste and this popped up. The exposed dentin argument seemed good enough for me plus the no nasty chemicals was a plus. I have been using this toothpaste for four days just twice a day and I can finally drink tea without a straw and I can bite down on fruit! The sensitivity is still there but it's a million times better; I'm just thankful enough the excruciating pain is going away. I don't feel like crying when biting down cold fruit now and you guys also saved me $400, too. I'm recommending this toothpaste now to everyone that has bad teeth.

    Outstanding!

Posted by STEPHEN on 16th Dec 2015

I've been using this for two or three years now and it has been wonderful. Every time I ate or chewed my teeth hurt. Now they don't bother me at all. This is the real deal.

    toothpaste

Posted by Ethel Powell on 7th Dec 2015

Still my favorite toothpaste! Others don't even come close. It's the only one I've found that is not too spicy tasting for me. Other brands actually hurt my tongue because the mint flavor is so strong. And I have the added advantage of its being sweetened with xylitol, not white sugar, which is dreadful. And no flouride, praise be! I'm 75, still have good teeth, and intend to keep it that way.

Corn sensitive and regular toothpastes were making me red and sore. So far, about a week in, I am healing from the other paste and my teeth feel clean. I am happy with the paste. Wish I could buy with no shipping!

This toothpaste is great! It has none of the harmful additives that most other toothpastes contain.
