Is Squigle® Toothpaste with 36% Xylitol a cardiovascular risk?
©2024 SQUIGLE, Inc. Recently a paper appeared** which states that ingestion of Xylitol may pose a cardiovascular risk. Normal use of Squigle's toothpastes does not pose a risk--most people ages 6 and up don't swallow their toothpaste.
In the extreme case where a person brushes his/her teeth with a Squigle® Toothpaste 3 times a day and swallows, they would consume about 1 gram of Xylitol, which is too small to pose a risk, according to the article.
Regarding Squigle JR, which is recommended for infants and toddlers, the dose of Xylitol which they would swallow is too small to pose a risk, according to the article. Applications of Xylitol which may pose a risk, according to the article, include habitual heavy use of: Xylitol chewing gum Xylitol candy Xylitol used as a sugar substitute **M. Squigle toothpaste
I'm 62 years old and developed Perioral Dermatitis about 2 years ago. I was frustrated and desperate as I had tried everything I knew but nothing seemed to clear it up. I did my research and discovered it can be caused by sls in most toothpastes we buy. Others had used Squigle and recommended it so I gave it a try. I am soo glad I did. I started using it immediately after I received it and within weeks it cleared up. I am so grateful and will NEVER use any other toothpaste. Love it for my toddler
Our pediatrician recommended this toothpaste after my daughter turned one! It's has fluoride which is fine since the water doesn't in California. One tube lasted is a year. I recommend this toothpaste to my friends

I LOVE THIS TOOTHPASTE!
I was looking for a toothpaste without sodium lauryl sulfate and found Squigle online. 'Really liked the short list of ingredients, so decided to give Squigle a try. I LOVE THIS TOOTHPASTE! No burning mouth or chemical taste! I told my dental hygienist about Squigle--she tried it and now she has switched to Squigle too. I always order from Homestead Market--it arrives quickly and is always nicely packaged!

A Lifesaver!
