sodium fluoride - 0.24% - Purpose: Anticavity
- Xylitol (prevents plaque, boosts fluoride)

Uses:
Fights canker sores, cavities, chapped lips, gum disease, perioral dermatitis. Soothes and protects dry mouths.
Floss. Brush for 2 minutes 2-3 times daily.

Warnings
Don's use fluoride toothpaste before age 6. Keep out of reach of kids under 6. Do not swallow. Call a physician or Poison Control Center promptly if more than a brush length is swallowed.

Is Squigle® Toothpaste with 36% Xylitol a cardiovascular risk?
©2024 SQUIGLE, Inc. Recently a paper appeared** which states that ingestion of Xylitol may pose a cardiovascular risk. Normal use of Squigle's toothpastes does not pose a risk--most people ages 6 and up don't swallow their toothpaste.
In the extreme case where a person brushes his/her teeth with a Squigle® Toothpaste 3 times a day and swallows, they would consume about 1 gram of Xylitol, which is too small to pose a risk, according to the article.
Regarding Squigle JR, which is recommended for infants and toddlers, the dose of Xylitol which they would swallow is too small to pose a risk, according to the article. Love it for my toddler

I LOVE THIS TOOTHPASTE!
I was looking for a toothpaste without sodium lauryl sulfate and found Squigle online. 'Really liked the short list of ingredients, so decided to give Squigle a try. I LOVE THIS TOOTHPASTE! A Lifesaver!

Freedom from canker sores
Squigle toothpaste has been a savior. I live in the high desert where for me altitude, dryness and desert allergies combined with canker sores to make life rather miserable. Squigle turned that dynamic on its head. I have been brushing regularly with Squigle for eight months - almost an entire annual cycle of desert allergies, including the spring time - and have not had one canker sore. I used to always have several enormous sores going on at once, with no down time. When one or two were finally chilling, one or two more would be kicking in. During some of the worst of times, I would have big ones combined with tiny ones that covered the entire inside of my mouth, under my tongue, the works. Squigle changed all that, The few times I have felt like a sore may be coming on I simply put squigle on the spot before going to bed and by morning I don't feel like anything might break through. And nothing does. That has only happened a couple of times in all these months - so it has been a truly amazing transformation. Also, Homestead has been awesome in getting products to us really fast - so we never go without. I have no idea why I had such problems with mouth sores (under the tongue, on the roof of my mouth, inside my cheeks), but now I have none - and it makes life a lot easier.
